It is easy for insects to infest our homes; the fact that they are small makes it easier for them to get inside and not be seen, and they quickly increase in number.

Monitor traps therefore play a fundamental role in keeping populations under control without the use of biocides that can pose a threat to plants, pets and even humans if the instructions are not followed correctly.

However, insects are not the only unwelcome guests to be found in our homes. Mice and rats can not only get into cellars and garages, but right into houses, even reaching high floors!

Even a few of these rodents can be a risk to people and things, and in fact:

Furthermore, in the right conditions, female mice and rats can give birth to up to five litters per year, each of which can contain more than a dozen babies, thus creating large populations in a short space of time.

It is therefore necessary to keep mice and rats under control as soon as their presence is detected, generally through sounds in the walls, roof or pipework, droppings, damaged food packets, strange odours or frequent electricity problems.

However, people are often reluctant to use biocides against these rodents, both for the act in itself, and for the relative risk to children and pets.

Another option is monitor traps for mice and rats, which work on the same principle as those for insects, but on a larger scale.

Monitor traps for mice and rats use lures (edible gels or aromas) to trap the rodents on a sticky surface from which they are unable to escape. It is then possible to detach them with the right procedure and free them into the countryside or in any case far from the home, resolving the problem without harming them.

IGO produces a wide range of monitor traps to contract, including those against mice and rats.

For more than 15 years, IGO has been a certified Medical and Surgical Device Manufacturer and provides the contract manufacture of insecticide products for domestic and civil use on substrates such as cellulose, granules or mixtures, and various types of liquid solutions to which one or more active substances have been added.
